Trip planner for Thailand
Plan the perfect Thailand trip — temples, islands, and street food.
Thailand looks easy until you realize the islands run on different ferry schedules, the visa rules changed twice, and Bangkok traffic eats half a day if you don't plan around it. The Wanderlist Thailand planner solves all of that — flights, ferries, hotels and a THB-aware daily budget.

What you need to know before planning Thailand
Pick one coast — don't bounce between them
Andaman (Phuket, Krabi) and Gulf (Koh Samui, Koh Tao) have opposite weather seasons. Trying to see both in 10 days = wasted travel days.
Bangkok needs 3 days minimum
Grand Palace + Wat Pho one day, Chinatown food crawl another, day trip to Ayutthaya the third. BTS Skytrain beats taxis during rush hour every time.
Ferries are weather-dependent
Koh Tao to Koh Samui crossings cancel during monsoon. Always book refundable, leave a buffer day before international flights.
Tuk-tuks overcharge tourists 3–5x
Use Grab (the local Uber) for fixed prices. For motorbike taxis, agree on price before getting on. Always.
Visa rules changed in 2024
Most Western passports now get 60 days visa-free (up from 30). Extensions easy at immigration. Always confirm latest rules in the planner before flying.
ATM fees are brutal
Thai ATMs charge ฿220 ($6) per withdrawal regardless of amount. Withdraw the max (฿20,000) once, not ฿5,000 four times.
